PAY IT FORWARD 2012

My pledge? I promise to make something handmade for the first 5 people who comment on this post. The catch? You must then post this on your own LJ/DW/FB/Twitter/Tumblr (wherever you like) and make something for the first 5 people who comment on it.

The rules? Items must be handmade* by you and the recipients must receive them before the end of 2012. So what are you waiting for?

*when it says handmade, it doesn't have to be anything major like a chest of drawers. It can be anything as simple as some graphics or fic (if you don't want to give out your address), or a card, or origami, crafts, sewing, knitting, food related, anything at all.

Because I'm really not into actual RL handmade stuff...fics and graphics, basically. Yes, this is pretty much only in the spirit of the meme. But, y'know, it's all good. So, hit me!

If I ship it, I'll write it. Also, gen! My tags have a good list of what I ship, though I'm sure most of you are aware of what I read and write. Though I can't promise how good I'll be at slash, since I write primarily het, but, hey, I'll give it a go. For graphics, you can request anything under the sun.

You know that feeling when you're pushing and pushing to get through with something so you can get to the break...and then you realize you're just going to have to work and push through the break too?
Yeah, I'm at that point. Looking at my to-do list and how much of it has to be done before Christmas and NY and I'm kinda just reeling. I want to curl up in a corner and watch ridiculous movies and eat popcorn and candy canes for the rest of the year.

In other news, thanks everyone for the well wishes for the benefit! It was good...not as well as we had hoped, and a lot of stuff in the auction went for a lot lower than we'd hoped, but, at least it was something. Trying to divy up what goes where is hard, though, since it's not enough to pay off all of one thing. Just one thing at a time, pretty much, just like always.

Me and the brother finally sat through and watched X-Men: First Class all the way through, finally. I've only got one remarks; yeah, tumblr was totally right, because it's basically one big gay epic Greek tragedy. Everything was sadness by the end. And Charles was kinda unrealistic and an idiot, but I won't get into that too much. Basically, it was good, but, pretty much only on the same level as the other X-Men movies. Certainly not comparable to the rest of the Marvel crop from recently.

Also, posted my sassy_minibang artwork! The author's gonna put up the main post to the site later(speaking of which, y'all should totally go check out the stories they've gotten. I've only had time to read, like, four of the fics, but they were fantastic), but I won't be around 'till tomorrow afternoon late, so I put mine up tonight. It's over here, for anyone interested!

I've also been working on a 2014 Dean/Cas mix., which has been a...difficult process, as anyone who's been around me during ontd_spnparty's FFAs can attest to my whining about it. But it's done! And now I have to wait to post it to avoid spamming my comm. But, I figured, hey, I've got people on my flist who'd probably be interested in a peek at it, so here's the covers, if you like;

I asked this over at merlin_finders, but I figure some of y'all on my flist might know where I could find these...so, because I'm lazy, the c+p from my post over there.

I've searched everywhere I can think of to find this picture, with no luck, and so I was hoping one of you lovely people might be able to help. It's a promotional image, with Arthur in chainmail with his sword leaning on his shoulder, and he's smiling. Any help with that is amazing! <3

And another general request; I'm looking for any pics of Arthur or Bradley smiling. High quality is preferred, but anything is super awesome. The only thing I don't want is pictures with Bradley's scruff, but otherwise I'm looking for anything. Thank you so much for anyone who can help with either of these! :)

I'm finally getting around to trying to make a manip...and for the life of me I can't find a good pic of Arthur or Bradley smiling! It's pretty sad...all the promo images of Arthur are him looking ~tough, and Bradley doesn't go to many events like Angel, so that's a no-go...arg. Yeah. Aside from not being able to find a good pic for Arthur, it's starting to look pretty dang good, I think. For a first try, that is.

Fellow creative people; when you're making icons/wallpapers/headers, whatever, what is your preferred tool for 'cutting' people out? Right now I use masks, but they almost never look just right. I've heard (vaugely) about the pen tool but I've never used it, is that what you're suppose to use?
I dunno. I'm just curious and I'd like to know what everyone else uses that looks so great.
